West Coast Songwriters

West Coast Songwriters is one of the most active Music Associations in the United States with over 20 member-only events up and down the west coast. Please be sure to check the calendar frequently so as not to miss what’s happening in your neighborhood.

WCS Chapters include: Berkeley, Petaluma, Sonoma, San Francisco, Sebastopol, Sacramento, Hollywood, Martinez, Saratoga, Redwood City, Portland and recently added San Rafael and Stockton!.

Songwriter Competitions

Share your creativity in an informal, supportive environment. Participants receive written evaluations from qualified judges, or peers at the peer judged events, providing invaluable suggestions for improvement or modification. At each event, a Best Song and Best Performance is chosen.

Song Screenings

Get your foot inside the music industry door! As a member, you have the opportunity to play your finished or unfinished piece for prominent publishers, producers and recording industry representatives in search of outstanding material and musicians. And, should you not get your song picked up this time around, it is a great opportunity to become better acquainted with industry needs and requirements for the next screening.
