Native to and raised in Marin County, California, Dana Jon Chappelle - a Grammy winner for Mariah Carey’s, "Emancipation Of Mimi", "Best Contemporary R & B Album”, and a multi-gold and platinum award recipient, is yet another wonderful feather in the cap of the amazing Bay Area music scene.
Chappelle began his career by recording local Bay Area bands and musicians and found a home at the historic Record Plant Studios in Sausalito, California working with some of the biggest names in the industry, and the rest is history!
In 1985, Chappelle began engineering at Tarpan Studios for multi-Grammy award winning producer, composer and master musician, Narada Michael Walden. Credits include: Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and numerous other stellar artists.
Later in1990, Chappelle began engineering and mixing exclusively at WallyWorld Studios for multi-Grammy winning producer, composer and master musician, Walter Afanasieff. Credits include: Mariah Carey, Celine Dion, Kenny G and Michael Bolton to name a few.
From 1997 – 2009 Chappelle accepted a fulltime position with Mariah Carey, recording, mixing and music supervising. As fate would have it, in 2005, Chappelle received a Grammy award for Mariah Carey’s, "Emancipation Of Mimi", as well as other nominations.
Chappelle’s engineering contributions have been recognized on recordings receiving nominations and/or wins by some of the industry’s most prestigious organizations: National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences, Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and the American Music Awards. Notable Oscar nominations/wins: Best Music/Original Scores - “Beauty and the Beast”, “A Whole New World” and “When You Believe”
As a freelance engineer, Chappelle continues to support a host of creative and talented clientele including the recording and mixing of Chaka Khan’s upcoming album.
Skyler Jett: Skyler Jett is an award winning, Grammy recognized vocalist and one of the most sought after singer/songwriter and background vocal producers in the music industry. His accolades include receiving a Grammy Award-embossed plaque from N.A.R.A.S for singing with Celine Dion on the Grammy-winning hit song “My Heart Will Go On” from the blockbuster hit film “Titanic.” This was also Record Of The Year (1998) and highest grossing movie theme song of all time.
Skyler’s additional film credits include background vocal arrangements on: “I’m Every Woman” from “The Body Guard”, also Movie Of The Year (1992), featuring Whitney Houston; “Tap” with Gregory Hines and Sammy Davis Jr.; “A Smile Like Yours” with Greg Kinnear; Disney’s “Hercules”; James Bond 007 - “License To Kill”; “Big Bully” with Rick Moranis and Tom Arnold; and “Ghostdad” with Bill Cosby.

In 1982 Skyler replaced Lionel Richie in The Commodores, touring 31 countries. Skyler Jett is Founder and CEO of Music can Save The World Corp and First Kiss Records. First Kiss Records works with a number of marquee artists, producers and writers as well as up and coming new talent in the music industry. Skyler is also the Co-host of SolutionsNowRadio with S Denise Newton — a high ranking Blog Talk radio show offering dynamic solutions for some of today’s most pressing issues.
Michael Rosen: Michael Rosen is an independent producer/engineer who has worked with the who’s who of Bay Area Rock and Roll greats. He began his career as a staff engineer at the legendary Automatt Studios in San Francisco, working with the likes of Grammy winner - Narada Michael Walden, Jefferson Starship and Aretha Franklin. He then moved across the bay to the world famous Fantasy Studios in Berkeley where he worked as a staff engineer/producer for 6 years.
Michael has worked with a variety of artists reflecting diverse musical styles and genres. His clientele ranges from Journey, Tesla and Santana to Rancid, AFI and Less Than Jake. In addition to his music projects, Michael’s Foley recording film credits include: Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Mosquito Coast, Blue Velvet and The Unbearable Lightness of Being.
Currently Michael is the owner of East Bay Recorders, in Berkeley, where he produces, engineers and develops both signed and unsigned bands.
As a strong advocate for education, Michael has developed a curriculum and teaches Audio Production and Advanced Mixing classes at both SFSU Extended Learning MRI Program and as an Adjunct Instructor at Chabot College.
