WCS Songwriter's Competition (formerly known as Songwriter Showcases)

Members (or friends of members) perform members original songs beforea live audience. Each participant receives written evaluations from qualified judges, or from their peers at the peer-judged events. Best Song of the evening receives studio time, Best Performance receives blank CD's and jewel cases. In August we have the "Annual Songwriter Showcase Playoffs" for the best songs of the year. The winners of these events plays at the SONGWRITER SHOWCASE FINALS at the Freight & Salvage in Berkeley, where three winners are picked to perform at CREATION:CRAFT:CONNECTION, our Annual Music Conference, in front of more than 60 Music Industry guests.
Locations: Berkeley, Saratoga, Hollywood, Lafayette, Manteca, Petaluma, Sacramento, San Francisco, San Luis Obispo and Sebastopol (Sonoma County).
