Portland Songwriters Competition

Spinella's Off the Wall, 436 North Main Ave.,, Gresham OR 97030

There are 2 winners of the Songwriting Competition each month, Best Song and Best Performance. Prizes are awarded at each location along with an invitation to compete in the Location Playoffs for Best Song of the Year. Year end location winner competes at the Grand Finals in August for a chance to perform at the Annual Music Conference in front of a house full of industry leaders and fellow attendees.

San Francisco Competition Playoff!

The Bazaar Cafe, 5927 California St., San Francisco, CA 94121

Tonight the monthly Best Song winners at the San Francisco location will compete for the San Francisco Best Song of the Year.

Winner of the San Francisco Best Song of the Year will compete on August 25th against all the other WCS location winners for a chance to showcase at the Annual Music Conference in front of a house full of industry leaders.

Glendale Works in Progress

Works In Progress is a creative critique session for songwriters of all levels. Songwriters can bring current projects, or old gems that they want to revisit and get constructive feedback from experienced songwriters. The session is always conducted in a no-pressure environment to foster development and to improve the participant’s craft. Songwriters can either present their works in pre-recorded demos on CD or I/O devices or bring an instrument to play. For songs that have lyrics bringing lyric sheets, with at least 5 copies is helpful.

Redwood City Songwriters Finals

Congratulations….to those chosen as the monthly finalist for West Coast Songwriters Competition - Redwood City Location.

Format will be a Nashville Style Songwriters Round. Each Songwriter can perform and talk about 3 of their songs including the one(s) that earned them their spot in the semi-finals.

Invite your friends, audience encouraged. Cheer on those who will move on to the “Grand Finals” held at the “Freight & Salvage” in Berkeley on Friday, August 26.
