Songwriters Competition at an end

Our Songwriter's Competition Season came to an end on Friday, August 21st

The Songwriter's Competition Season Finale, our Grand Finals, were held at the Freight & Salvage on Friday, August 21st.  This was a tough job for our judges, current President, Mark LeMon, past President, Tami Mulcahy, and last minute judge, Joanie Crombie filling in for Andre Pessis.

Every month members compete at a dozen Songwriter Competition locations from Portland to LosAngeles.  Each month a winner of “Best Song” is chosen, either by industry judges or in peer judging. A single winner is chosen from each location to compete at the Grand Finals....these were this night's performers.

At the Grand Finals, three performers are chosen to perform at this year's SUNSET CONCERT at the Conference on Saturday, September 26th.  Those winners were Todd Morgan, Bobby Jo Valentine and Laura Zucker.  It took a long time for the judges to pick the three performers as the scoring was so close.  Hopefully, you'll be there to cheer these performers on!
