WCS Singer/Songwriter Grand Final Competition

Interested in up and coming singer/songwriters from the West Coast?  Don't miss this Friday evening - August 26th for the West Coast Songwriters Grand Final Competition for Best Song of the Year at the Freight and Salvage in Berkeley, CA.

Imagine, eleven locations, year round competitions and over 1400 musicians performing and competing with their original songs each month. The genre of songs varies from country to pop and beyond. Each musician chooses their song and performs their own work. Throughout the year, each of our eleven locations holds monthly song competitions for Best Song and Best Performance awards.  At the end of the year, each location holds their own semi-final to award Best Song of the Year for their location. This talented songwriter then goes on to compete at the Grand Finals. The Best Song of the Year winner has the opportunity to perform live in front of a house full of industry leaders at the 36th Annual WCS Music Conference.

Many of the WCS Members have gone on to build successful careers.  Sara Bareilles won Best International Song for her well known song "Gravity"; Jen Adan penned the song "She Wouldn't be Gone" which became a #1 hit for Blake Shelton; Jeff Campbell performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live!  and David Luning's song "Whiskey Bottle" was featured on the TV Series Grimm.  We have many more talented artists to mention and I'm sure many more to come, so don't miss meeting them before they become Grammy Award Winning musicians!
