Interview with Dakota Green

Dakota Green is a Country Music Recording Artist and Songwriter from the Gulf Coast of Alabama. He got his start in music at an early age by doing national competitions and before long he was playing concerts all over the United States. He was the first artist to ever play at The Hangout in Gulf Shores, AL which is now home to one of the biggest music festivals in the country. He hosted open mic nights there every week while also playing at other popular coastal venues including the legendary Flora- Bama and the Soul Kitchen in Mobile, AL. He’s appeared alongside some of today’s hottest acts at music festivals such as Hills Alive (20,000+ in attendance) in South Dakota, Ichthus Festival (20,000+ in attendance) in Kentucky and has opened for artists like Elley Duhe, Anthem Lights and many others. In 2018, Green packed his bags and left his hometown area with his eyes set on Nashville. Listen to his song Moving On and you’ll hear his story of growing up, letting go of what you can’t change and of course, moving on. He began working on his debut EP Hold on to This Moment with Josh Bright (Producer for Uncle Kracker, T-Pain and others) and he slowly but surely started to find himself as an artist for the first time. The new music quickly got attention before it was even released. Green got a call from Myriad Productions in Nashville, TN and began working with their publishing division in late 2019. With a catalog of over 100 original songs and an impressive vocal range, Dakota Green is determined to show the world what he’s made of with his full album set to release later this year as the debut launch from Myriad Records. Moving On and Hold on to This Moment are both available on all streaming platforms
